Overview
Your CBU compass account allows you to access self-service functionality related to admissions, registration, tuition, grades, and more.
In order to register, or deregister, for classes, you need to be able to access you student compass account.
Instructions To Access Your Student Compass Account
1. Navigate to the CBU Homepage (cbu.ca). Select the seventh item on the primary navigation menu called "LOGINš¤"
2. A pop up should appear with two columns. Select the third option on the left panel called "COMPASS STUDENT ACCOUNT"
3. This should take you to another tab titled "Sign in to Outlook." Type the CBU email address given to you in the right field. Click the blue "Next" box when done.
4. You will be asked to confirm MFA. Follow the prompts on screen or go here for more assistance. If you no longer have access to your device for MFA find out how to reset it on our MFA reset article here.
5. When you login you should see a panel of 7 windows, with your student account username in the top right corner. You are now logged into your Student Compass Account!

How to Use Your Student Compass Account

- This menu allows you to navigate your Student Compass account.
- Student Finance allows you to see your outstanding balance and tuition owed to the school. Selecting each date shows you a detailed breakdown of each semester.
- Tax Information shows you information required when you complete your taxes in the year. You must provide your consent to receive these digitally. E.g., T4A forms.
- Course Catalogue shows you the wide array of course CBU is currently or historically offering.
- Graduation Overview shows your progression through your program. When you complete all your requirements, you may apply for graduation. All programs have different requirements.
- Financial Aid shows your any scholarships the school has given to you.
- Student Planning is where you will register, waitlist, and drop courses (that you have picked in the course catalogue). It also gives you your schedule to use throughout the year.

- Each program has specific requirements that must be fulfilled. You can find these requirements under the "View Your Progress Option" on this page.
- Grades will eventually show your FINAL grades after you complete your semesters

Can I change my program?
Yes! Both Current and new students can change their program. Please use the Register’s Office Portal to do so.
How do I know if I am able to graduate?
Your Student Compass Account provides you with an easy way to see your Academic progress, and what you require to graduate.
Can somebody help me with selecting my courses?
Yes! An Academic Advisor can help you decide what courses to take to align with your academic and career goals. This service is free of charge and highly recommended to students. Find out how to book an appointment with one here.
What is the difference between and official and unofficial transcript?
Unofficial transcripts CANNOT be used for official decision making, such as applying for higher education, or providing evidence to your employer of your course completion.
How do I get proof of my enrolment?
The registers office portal allows you to quicky request a proof of enrolment letter. It may take 7 days for your request to process.
