Overview

CBU Alert is CBU’s emergency mass notification system. This important feature is available to members of the CBU community by invitation only. All staff, faculty and students will be invited to create an account within the system via their CBU email address.

You can change how CBU contacts you regarding alerts. While it defaults to only your CBU email, you can add your personal email, smartphone, and more.

Alerts that come from CBU Alert are also available on CBU's social media such as Facebook.

Instructions

Navigate to the CBU Homepage (cbu.ca). Select the seventh item on the primary navigation menu called "LOGIN👤"
A pop-up should appear with two columns. Select the second option on the left panel called "CBU ALERT"
This should take you to another tab titled "CBU Alert." Select hyperlink titled "CBU Alert Login."
This will take you to another page titled "Cape Breton University Notification System Login." Enter your account details to login, your user name is FirstName_LastName, and your password will be set up when you first login.
This will take you to your CBU Alert homepage. Here you can adjust the information CBU uses to contact you.
