Overview

Your CBU email is hosted on Microsoft Outlook. It will be your main source of correspondence during your time here at CBU. It is hosted through outlook. Please check it often.

Your Microsoft Outlook password is the same as your CBU account username and password.

Upon acceptance, your CBU email address will be sent to your personal email by the advisor, who will contact you prior to your first semester. (e.g. cbu20abc@cbu.ca). This email will also contain your password.

It is recommended that you change this password. To find out how, go here.

Instructions To Access Your CBU Email

1. Navigate to the CBU Homepage (cbu.ca). Select the seventh item on the primary navigation menu called "LOGIN👤"

2. A pop-up should appear with two columns. Select the bottom option on the left panel called "OFFICE 365 EMAIL"

3. This should take you to another tab titled "Sign in to Outlook." Type the CBU email address given to you in the right field. Click the blue "Next" box when done.

4. Enter your password. By default, this is the one your advisor provides you. If you have forgotten your password, please go here.

5. You will then be asked to set up MFA (Multifactor Authentication). Follow the prompts on screen or go here for more assistance. If you no longer have access to your device for MFA go here.

6. After setting up and confirming MFA, you should be able to enter your CBU email.

I received a strange email, what should I do?

Do not click any links or download any attachments. You can email the service desk at it_services@cbu.ca if you are uncertain of email validity. If you clicked on any links or attachments please reset your password immediately.
