
Overview
Your Student ID is a string of seven numbers (e.g. 0123456) that our systems use to identify you. You can find your student ID number on your physical student ID card, your acceptance letter, or in your student compass account

You Student ID is used to access library services, exam rooms, food services, and other events on campus. One of the first things you should do before you attend CBU is acquire a Student ID. You can do this either in-person, or online.
To acquire a Student ID, you must have a government ID (such as a passport, or driver’s license) that matches the name on your Student ID, AND to be registered in at least one course for 24 hours.
The first Student ID you acquire is free of charge, if you need to acquire an additional Student ID (for example, your Student ID was damaged.

How to Acquire a Student ID In-Person
You can acquire a student ID at the CBU IT Services help desk in the bottom floor of the Marvin Harvey building. You must present a government issued ID and have your ID number (on your acceptance letter) to a staff member.
How to Acquire a Student ID Online
- All students should receive an email from no-reply@cardexchangecloud.com instructing them to request their CBU Student ID Card. This is a safe email to open; it is not spam. If you did not receive this email, please contact IT Services for assistance. You can also visit the site directly to begin the process (click here).
- Activate your account by following the link in the email and logging in with your CBU email and password.
- Review and agree to the privacy policy.
- You will be prompted to submit a photo of your government-issued photo ID.
- You will then submit a photo of your choice that will be on both your ID as well as your online accounts. These pictures must comply with the following cretria:
- Ensure the photo you submit is a full front view of your face without being cut off. Do not tilt your head.
- The image must be sharp and in focus and taken against a plain background. There can be no objects nor complexity in the background.
- Do not obstruct your face. Glasses are permitted but may be rejected if they cause glare. Hats and head coverings are not permitted except when worn for religious purposes.
- Makeup must not obstruct or alter facial features in any noticeable way.
- When complete, click “Finish”.
- Click on “Edit Profile” and choose your preferred pick-up location. Once specified, please wait to receive your pick-up instructions via your CBU email.
How to Acquire a Replacement/Additional ID
If you have lost your ID and need to get a replacement, please visit the Registrar’s Office to make the $15 payment, and take the receipt to the IT Service Desk to request your new ID.
