Calendar in Outlook Showing Unknown
Overview
If a user tries to send you an invite but your time is showing unknown then there could be an issue with calendar permissions in Outlook. This is what it looks like:
Instructions
Open Outlook desktop application and click
File
From here you want to choose
Options
Choose
Calendar
and scroll to "
Change the permissions for viewing Free/Busy information
"
This will bring up the Calendar Properties window. From here select the
Permissions
tab and then ensure that for
Default, Permission Level and Read
are set to
Free/Busy time.
If any of these are set to none then that is why you will see unknown time slots for yourself or another user.
Click
Apply
and
Ok
. This may take a few minutes to synchronize, but once it does the issue will be fixed.
