Introduction

Welcome! One of the most crucial steps to success at Cape Breton University (CBU) is knowing how to navigate the various technical services provided to you. This Knowledge Base has been compiled to help you excel in this area.

A Knowledge Base is a compiled source of information about an organization. It is intended to cut down the length of time you spend looking for important information.

Here you will find information on:

Using the Knowledge Base

Remember to Sign In.

If you are a student, staff member, or faculty member, ensure you are logged in to the knowledge base. You can sign in on the top right-hand side of the webpage. This will significantly enhance your experience and enable you to access a broader range of articles.

Learn How to Navigate.

You can navigate the articles in four ways:

  1. Browsing By Category: articles are linked to at least one category, you can browse them by topic.
  2. Tags: At the top of each page, under the article title, you will see a list of tags. Selecting the tag will show you articles with the same tag.
  3. Search Bar: at the top right-hand side of the webpage, you can enter keywords related to your issue. Enter words, e.g."MFA," rather than questions e.g "My MFA won't work."
  4. Related Articles: On the right-hand side of the page, you can view additional resources for your problem or interest.

Help Us Improve.

You can leave feedback on the button of any knowledge base article at the "Was this helpful" box. Selecting either "Yes" or "No" will open up a dialogue box for you to (optionally) explain your reasoning. We will appreciate any feedback we get!
