Block or Unblock Senders

Overview

  • You can block messages from specific email addresses or domains from reaching your inbox. When you add an email address or domain to your blocked senders list, Outlook automatically moves messages from that sender to the Junk Email folder. If you are receiving emails that are going to junk and are not spam/junk then you can do the opposite to ensure that domain/address is being sent to your Inbox rather than the Junk Email folder.

Block Sender

When you no longer want to see messages from someone, you can block a sender.

  • Right-click a message from the sender you want to block, and then click Junk > Block Sender

  • The blocked person can still send you mail, but if anything from his or her email address makes it to your email account, it’s immediately moved to the Junk Email folder. Future messages from this sender will go to your Junk Email folder

Unblock Sender

  • If the email in the Junk folder is not spam/junk we can do the opposite and ensure it is being sent to your Inbox. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  • We can also manually add addresses to our safe senders list by click on Junk E-Mail Options and then choosing the Safe Senders Tab or the Safe Recipients.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
